NBC 29: Construction Now Underway on Office Complex in Downtown Charlottesville
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-
A new building is now under construction in downtown Charlottesville.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Tuesday, November 13, for the 3Twenty3 Charlottesville office complex on 2nd Street Southeast.
The state-of-the-art building will house five floors of office space and a four-level parking garage.
Developers are hopeful it’ll bring lots of new jobs downtown.

Insite Properties has broken ground on 3TWENTY3, a 120,000-square-foot, Class A office building in downtown Charlottesville, Va. Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer is the building’s exclusive leasing representative.
Sited at 323 Second St. SE, the property will consist of five floors of office space atop a four-story, 200-space parking structure. The project was designed by BB&M Architects, of Charlotte, N.C.
3TWENTY3 reportedly features the largest floor plates in the Charlottesville market. Amenities include a pedestrian plaza/walkway, a rooftop terrace with patio, a conference and event facility, electric car charging stations and indoor bike racks, as well as views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Insite Properties has broken ground on 3TWENTY3, a 120,000-square-foot structure which should be complete in spring 2020. The space at 323 Second St. S.E. is being transformed into a five-story office building with a four-level parking garage.
The building will be built on what is now the back half of The Glass building and a parking lot. The front of the Glass building — currently occupied by Augustiner, The Bluegrass Grill & Bakery and Paradox Pastry — will continue to be used as retail space.
